Condom vending machines installed at various spots in the city have been drawing inquisitive looks as many people are not aware of their usage. Many mistake the machines for telephone booths. And those who identify the machines feel shy to use them.

they shd be called anti-std booths :)
but people feel shy to go out and buy from a pharmacy or ask a pharmacist, they feel shy to buy from a vending machine - so how does the government get people to buy condoms??

STD..? I recall this incident.
This one time when I was in Thekady waiting in my line for a elephant ride, I happened to chat with a Canadian student tourist. I asked her about her xperience in India. She recalled her first shocking moments when she landed in Kolkata to find STD neon lights all over the city.

I was looking for a tutorial to teach my son about condoms as we do believe in them in our house and we aren't necessarily going to stop our kids even with our best efforts. Anyway, I appreciate your article as well as this other one I found: Trojan Condoms Tutorial
