Not many Indian businesses (particularly retailers) have such a wide presence in the Middle East. However this Gold retailer is quite ambitious.

Few years back, a friend of mine won a competition for sales target, to watch the world cup final at the Lords. I asked him what motivated him, his response was "watching a match at the lords".
Oh btw, one of my cherished dreams is to watch a match at the lords.
In this Accenture situation, I think they are working on "group psychology".You know, where each team memeber encourages, to get more referrals

Companies are devising innovative ways to attract talent. few years ago IT companies offered DVD players and cell phones for employee referrals.
This trend has become well established in the Indian context.

read the one about asking salary of other people. probably a rude question to a total stranger. however am of the opinion that it is immaterial whether one answers or ignores. why do the folks take umbrage at being asked ? it is not as though the asker wants your money :)

People have different opinions on this. I don't like people who ask my pay. If they ask me, I'm forced to answer the same.

You are one of the fortunate few who lead an uncomplicated life. I can't even imagine it. Maybe I'm addicted to this complicated life.
