Don’t bank on foreign banks
It is time the government reviewed its policy towards foreign banks. They have been bringing some best practices (?) to India. First it was the Marathon Bank and now it is the Night Watchman Bank.

Why foreign banks? All banks do the same.Its really irritating to hear a representative call up and ask for complaints & then follow up with a request to refer their bank to relatives for any deposits. Perhaps its time to charge these banks at premium rates for the calls they make.

@Anon,
All banks seem to be doing it. The foreign banks are famous for sending thugs for collection of credit card dues.

Kaps,
This has been one of my gripes for a long time...we want to implement all the latest in consumer services, but not caring for the actual benefit for the consumer, not putting-in-place adequate/any checks&balances to handle 'situations'
Shoddy all the way

@Arvind,
Looks like the customer is not king. He is like a king (sans the powers)
