Indian BPO’s at the receiving end yet again
This time the accusations have come from an Australian website which has warned Australians that their valuable personal information is at risk. It is still not clear as to which BPO was involved in this expose. According to ABC News:
Happy Independence Day and Best of Luck to all the participants of the Landmark Quiz
Tens of thousands of Australians are at risk of computer fraud because their personal information is being made available illegally by workers inside call centres based in India. Tonight's Four Corners program reveals a black market in information held by Indian call centres. The program was offered ATM numbers, passport numbers and credit card details on thousands of Australians.

Kaps- True or not,Atleast we should do our part as Indians by not giving importance/hype to such reports.Imagine a prospective investor googling for BPOs and bumping into your blogsite.Right? We got to realise that there are many success stories than these stray cases.

@Senthil,
Happy Independence Day to you as well.
@TS,
Agree with u. But the international media has already given importance to it. even indian newspapers have started reporting it.
what i'm worried is whether the international media wants to sensationalize it by finding one or two irresponsible guys and paying them some huge moneys to bring out a good report in their respective magazine / newspapers. the UK newspapers are known to do it....they even send journalists to sneak into the Heathrow airport to prove that security is lax. however if the problem is at our end, it is better that we address these issues before these spiral into a bigger problem.
