Dial 100 for Better Service

Sify reports that Chennai police stations are getting a much-needed facelift. The criminals and accused should be feeling happy as they will be taken to upgraded police stations for questioning. I’m sure the paan & gutkha chewing policemen and the visitors will spoil the environs in no time. As a fallout of this redo, the weddings taking place in police stations (that’s what they show in the movies) might increase. Kollywood studios might need to change the sets of the police stations to reflect the changing times.

Hope they do something to reduce the tummy of the cops as well. Shouldn’t this also be part of the redo?

  • talking about tummies, i din't realise when mine grew.. been trying hard for the few days..mostly jogging and dips.. but strange, the pre emp. medical report said that I have 0 cholesterol..

Police stations do need serious revamp, i went once to report loss of my 5th cell phone, and i wanted to run away..messy table, rickety chair, dirty water bottle, cobwebs and that was in posh locality of Kolkata.. in a way its good. It might deter criminals from visiting again.

  • lol...well written. I guess the cops should be made to do the spring cleaning themselves. A first step to cleaning up the city! (Am sure that would also impact tummies:-))

  • i was once visting chennai and being driven around by a friend when she was caught by the cops (for something trivial - cant remember what) but I do remember the cop looked like a villain from a tam movie ... and yes he had a huge tum :)
