Tamizh Murasu fails to impress

Expecting quality from a Tamil newspaper is like asking for too much and the latest Tam newspaper on the Chennai newsstand is no different. I look at it as a ball pen being sold for Rs. 2 / 3 and a newspaper comes free along with that. Vijay Krishna of VKPedia has a first look at the new(s)paper:

300 paise. 8 pages. Colour photos. DMK bias. These are some things one can easily observe, the last of these being an implicit assumption. A casual perusal reveals no great difference from the normal Tamil daily. For example, the headline screams Actor handed Rs. 5 lakh fraud cheque to Jayalalithaa. Who and why? No answers. Just some general write-up about tsunami, tax exemptions and the like. Politics, and a photo of Beyoncé Knowles and Naomi Campbell adorn page 2.

  • it is the best paper in tamil I read it and it is not DMK bias at all. It is wrong to blindly say it is biased. we need young enterpreneurs like Kalanidhi, you and me never thought of this idea good show Sun

  • dinamalar is bjp biased , dinathanthi is ruling party biased why only pick on sun, every one has given free gift but sun group did this in style ,and they succeded Tamizh Murasu is very good paper , it has lot of stories and it is not biased excellent job tamizh murasu keep it up

  • Vijay krishna is the biggest loser those who cannot do anything usefull in their life land up talking like vijay krishna we should analise people like him rather than analising newspapers or better vijay krishna should tell us what he has done for the society or at least his family.

  • When people comment on something, please don't talk about 'what he has done to society' etc. Tamizh Murasu has not come to do something to the society. Sun TV has spent 250 crores to buy Dinakaran and gives a newspaper at 2 Rs. which is surely costing them more than 4 Rs. including gift. First achievement is to convert black into white; (today did you see a full page advt. from BSNL, where Dayanithi Maran is incharge?) secondly to create DMK wave (and within that Maran lobby). Vikatan group tried the same with a sexy figure but without gift. Sun TV gives with the gift.

  • I have not read Tamizh Murasu and I don't want to but i know the previous comment is by vijay krishna who is the author of this article. Everybody please don't waste your time reading what vijay vomits I know vijay he is a hard core brahmin who's only agenda is to hate all non brahmins,he is a waster who does not command little bit of respect from his friends or even his family.Please do find something better to read rather than biased vomit of a hard core, fanatic brahmin who is a nut thinking he is smarter than others.I am not against all brahmins but I cannot the ones like vijay who i know personnally

    look at the positive side of this (or these) moron's comments :). you and VK are making some waves. way to go !. you should be glad that someone is loosing sleep & posting comments on ur blog. also he is a bad PR (atleast in the blogoshpere)for SunTV. probably SunTV doesn't even know that this guy is frantically spitting out incoherent comments :).

    And hoping to buy readership through 'free' stuff..

    Now from a business perspective, How can they sustain being a 'Loss Leader'?
