Kalaa Utsavam 2005 @ Esplanade

It’s that time of the year when Singapore’s Esplanade opens its doors to Indian performances. Kalaa Utsavam '05, an Indian arts festival, will kick off on 11th Nov and will go on until 20th Nov. I managed to attend a concert by Chitra and Madhu Balakrishnan during the previous edition of Kalaa Utsavam (2004). Kalaa Utsavam ’04 also featured Indian Ocean (of Kandisa fame). Since Indian Ocean is not an established band in the international circuit, their concert was free.

I now have my eyes set on the following concert:

Eastern Rhapsody features Mandolin Srinivas, Vikku Vinayakram, V Selvaganesh and Taufiq Qureshi. Knowing the energy levels of some the artistes, this concert should be an audio visual treat.
