Indian Call Centre employees receive abusive calls from US customers

Newsweek columnist Steven Levy has an article on Splogs and he cites some ways of making money through Google Adsense

If you've done it right, Google's search engines will identify your blog as a prime place for a high-value ad. Then, as Sifry says, "you can pay housewives in India to sit there and click on the ads." Because programs like Google's AdSense pay out each time someone responds to the ad, it's possible to make a bundle from this.

Have you heard of words like “Thought Shower”, “Deferred Success” and “Misguided Criminals?” These words seem to be part of the politically correct lingo.

Do you remember Mannar & Co and Oho Productions?

Actress Kausalya need not be so defensive about her move to the small screen:

It is not that I switched over to small screen because I did not have enough films. Did Amitabh Bachchan come to television because he does not have enough films? Not that I am comparing myself with Amitabh Bachchan. but one must be aware that a heroine's tenure is very short in the film industry.

  • Burning effigies and chappals is old news, na? Just like online matri sites scamming to get business. They have to. Bloggers do it, too.

  • I dont find Kausalya's reasoning as being defensive.( I havent watched her serials or movies, prob one movie neruku ner..) there is little truth in her statement about switching bcos she doesnt have enough offers..blah..blah..but she did a wise thing by not becoming an item number like swarnalmalya or other heroines..
    Small screen keeps her (more) popular and wealthy! she is right about heroines tenure..imagine the cases of heroines who decided take their lives bcos their popularity was gone.

  • @Cogito,
    I also remember those dialogues....but I haven't seen those movies 25 times :-)

    @Somu,
    LOL

    @Harshi,
    Thanks for dropping by

    @TDU,
    It might be old....but it is back in fashion

    @Anon,
    I also feel that Kausalya made a gracious exit without falling into the trap other actresses fall into. Small screen is more like a salaried job.
