Yet another Indian news site
I happened to visit the virtual abode of India’s latest news channel CNN-IBN. The look and feel of the site reminds me of NDTV. Although it is a newly launched site, they have already started offering RSS feeds. They are also offering free video clippings. Although they have a section called blogs, I’m not too sure what they are trying to do with it. Lot of the Western media is encouraging their staff to blog, but we have not seen that happening in India. This could be the start of such a trend.

This one is by Rajdeep Sardesai. This guy was a top member in NDTV and due to his differences with Pranoy Roy he came out of NDTV. Looks like he had tied up with CNN.
I personally like this guy, because of the way he analyses an issue and the way he presents to the audience. Nice to see him back to the news room.
Just an off track. I believe that you had mentioned sometime ago that SUN TV is planning on a IPO. I read somewhere yesterday (I dont remember where!!!) that SUN TV is planning to go Public in 2006 to get a capital for Rs.600 Crore and is planning to spread its wing by starting a Sports Channel and Kids Channel. Wonder how those channels would be!!

Their blogs page mainly vox populi than anything else. Lazy Geek, Chandrachoodan, Amit Varma etc. have been linked. I think they pick the best posts of the blogosphere related to the relevant topics in Indian current affairs and link to them.
