Hari hits back over Hari Sadu Ad

Naukri is in for some trouble now:

Guess who's heard from Hari? Job web site Naukri.com has received a legal notice from an 11-year-old boy claiming damages to the tune of Rs 1 crore for allegedly showing a part of his name in bad light, a report said.

Irrespective of the verdict of this notice, Naukri should be happy as the ad has definitely made an impact and is making people stand up and take notice.

  • I truly wonder if this is not a tactic just go get money from naukri.com and I also wonder if they could ever win the case against Naukri. WHy?

    1) There can be a 1000 or more Hari Sadu's in the world.

    2) I suspect a brilliant marketing strategy by Naukri.com It may be that the entire thing is fixed. Positive publicity + Negative media hype = Unheard of Media attention. Surely a stock to watch? What say Sambhar?

  • This is ridiculous. I can understand if a real guy called Hari Sadu got pissed off. But, for someone to act as if he has copyrighted the name, it requires a real lack of sense.

  • @Soopah Pissed,
    Thanks for dropping by. I think the court will dismiss this petition as it really silly. As u say, one can't rule out the angle that Naukri itself could have triggered this just to create more awareness about the campaign.

    @Vijay Krishna,
    the case is so hollow and that guy is only 11 years old. His case will fall flat.
