Taking blogging to the masses

CNN-IBN’s Tech Show Connect dealt briefly with blogging in their show, which was telecast on Saturday. I believe the timing of the story coincided with the launch of Blogeverywhere. To add jazz to the show, the comperes termed Blogeverywhere as a tool, which will take blogging to the masses. I’m still wondering as to what was on their mind while they said that.

The IBN Site also has a series of articles on various aspects of blogging. IMHO having your own domain can improve the personal branding, but it should not be considered the be-all and end-all of professional blogging. Most of India’s leading bloggers still use free blogging services like Blogspot.

  • How would blogeverywhere take blogging to the masses? I somehow have loathed that guy - Rajdeep Sardesai - and never watch that channel. Such statements only make me hate that channel even more. They dont seem to be having enough news to report, and run many mundane and page 3 style stories...

  • I still haven't figured out the value-add to blogging because of blogeverywhere. What I understood is that with this toolbar (end of the day, thats what this is - another toolbar!) you can post your views on *any* site and others can view the same. Catch (me assumes ofcourse) - the 'others' should also be having blogeverywhere! It's like one open chat window to the world.

**royally confused** Sabeer Bhatia's mind is idle after selling Hotmail, so it's playing devil's workshop I guess.
