The Week interviews MK
Kavitha Muralidharan of The Week has done an interview with MK. I doubt whether anybody is going to buy this statement:
Q: Your comments on Stalin’s growth.
A: Stalin has made sacrifices since his youth to become what he is today. As a school student, he organised meetings with leaders like Rajaji, Sanjiva Reddy and Anna. He was arrested for over a year under MISA during the Emergency and roughed up by policemen. His success is independent of me.
Poll Time Press Ads
S R Ramanujan of The Hoot has a timely article (via) on how the government departments splurge money on press releases featuring photos of politicians totally irrelevant to the event. This is somewhat related to my earlier post titled "Private Gains in the name of Public Good".

Kaps, you are right.. nobody would appreciate his statement. He is now planning to bring Stalin to the front row. It shows up clearly. The unfortunate things is, Stalin is still not considered to be a leader even within the party.

Kaps, no one is going to buy ANY statement of KK.

Kaps,
First time (commenting) here
I really didnt understand why people r very particular abt Stalin, even after so many clarifications from MK.

IMO except tht bolded word no one can disagree on the other parts. But surprisingly people didnt care abt the growth of Anbumani Ramdass, Karthi Chidamabaram, GK Vasan, even Rahul Gandhi.. (& Priyanka's Son??)
Hey i'm not a Vattam, mavattam or Ko Paa Se of DMK. Jus' wondered

kaps, thanks for the link to the interview.
vignesh,
that was just an intervew with MK. So the interview can only bring Stalin upfront. When the interview interview sonia and neglects to ask about Rahul you can jump in.
As general public we are concerned about all dynastic politics. The caste system is alive and well and is called democracy...

"..Stalin has made sacrifices since his youth to become what he is today..."
LOL... laugable quote.

Hey Stalin did make sacrifices in his youth. He sacrificed education, good accquaintances and the desire to become a respected leader.

@Krish,
I also seriously doubt Stalin's fan following within his own party.
@Don,
Let's wait for 2 months to see the verdict :-)
@Vignesh,
You are making a valid point here. Stalin atleast has been around in the DMK for two / three decades. The public had not heard about Anbumani Ramadoss and Dayanidhi Maran when these people became central ministers.
@CM,
Even I have heard those stories.
@Karthik,
I guess Vignesh is raising a valid point here....he just Stalin as an example to drive home his point.
@Ram,
:-)
@Don,
LOL
