Guess Who?

A prominent TN politician in a recent interview:

Q: Do you have plans of writing an autobiography capturing your achievements and the troubles you had to go through?
A: Those who create history don’t have the time to write about it.

I’ll let you decide whether it is a fair statement.

Update: Hot Machi Hot has a post about the tone of the Kumudham interview.

  • You've missed the hilarious bit..
"Varalaaru padiapavargallukku varalaru ezhuda neram illai enru...adakkathudan therivithu kolgirane" thus spake the modest madam.

  • AMMAAvaa??

    How did I miss it?

  • Typical!

The same question was posed to Mallu star, Mohanlal. His reply? "One must do something to merit an autobiography".

Ippadiyum sila manidhargal. Appadiyum oru 'Amma'.

  • Whoever said that, I must admit, I loved the quote.

  • It might have turned out to be a nice response 'if only' the person had actually attributed it as a complement to another person rather than to (him/her)self

  • @Priya,
I think the people are better informed to decide who is really humble.

the quote is good, but does it make sense?

    rightly said

  • I'm reminded of what JRD Tata said when asked why he didn't write an autobiography: "If I wrote one, I would look back on it, and rest on my laurels."

  • @VK,
Looks like amma has a lot to learn from others.
