CNN-IBN reports about a new launch

(A Govt. Company) and they wrongly put an image of Hindustan Lever Limited’s
(HLL) corporate brand. The similarity begins and ends with the word HLL. IBN
has been creating a distinct brand in the online news space and goof-ups like this one doesn’t bode well for them. Till IBN
entered the space, MSM sites were more keen on one-way communication. IBN
has brought in lot of interactivity. Their articles on Rajkumar’s demise attracted over 800 reader comments. Although they have a moderation policy, they have been generous in permitting comments, which sometimes criticize some of the points in a particular article.
Another area where IBN needs to work hard is the proof reading. The amount of typos are simply unacceptable for a professional news site. Even bloggers fare better :-). Hope they will improve in the coming months.
Update: The IBN site is now updated with the corporate brand of Hindustan Latex Limited.
