A Colourful Election

The picture says it all:

Dravidian parties hope for a divine intervention says ToI:

Leaders of both Dravidian parties — DMK and AIADMK — spent the weekend going to temples across TN to conduct prayers and offer pooja for their victory in the 2006 state assembly polls, voting for which will be held on Monday.

Several Dravidian leaders also visited Tirupathi, the abode of Lord Balaji, to get his blessings for the elections. It was interesting to see the new trend, since most Dravidian leaders believe and practice atheism.

In many cases, wives of the leaders, including those of Union IT and communications minister Dayanidhi Maran and DMK deputy general secretary M K Stalin, visited temples on behalf of their husbands. For both Maran and Stalin, this will be an important election since they are fighting for supremacy within the DMK.

    4) Queen Mary's - Attack on Students
    5) Road Workers suicides

  • And I thought K and Stalin were non-believers! This is like sub contracting....he he.

I remember once during my school time, it was exam day and i was late already. Had to wait at Anna Flyover junction for over half an hour for Amma to go to office, which incidently was the other way from where i was. Unfortunately for me I had to cross both Poes Garden and Gopalapuram to reach my school, so no matter who was in power, delays were inevitable.

Anyways, am sick of all parties, hopefully some educated ppl(actually educated IIT-types, not honorary doctrate) start salvaging the situation.
