A Trip To The Book Store
* One gets a feeling that Dan Brown books sell more than soaps and toothpastes.
* Just like how iPOD created a business opportunity (products that could complement iPODs), The Da Vinci Code has done something similar for the publishing industry. There is this entire section titled “If you liked The Da Vinci Code, you’ll enjoy these books” section.
* Kakuro is in, Sudoku is out
* At the rate at which “Men are XXX, Women are YYY” type books get published, they will be running out of titles soon.

@Bala,
This was the first time I came across the word Kakuro. You can read about it here

You seem to have missed out blogging on the anti reservation debate in India. I'm sure you are aware of the debate and what some of your own classmates and fellow alumni from IIMB are doing to voice their concern. Please pause to think if you were taught by faculty who were not chosen for their merit but were there since they had positions reserved for them based on some diluted criteria! Your slience suggests that you are probably caught up between what you feel and what you think others like to see in your blog. The enthusiasm that you had to expose something relatively trivial like IIPM seems like history. And for all interested in the current reality in India please visit http://www.savebrandindia.org/

There is far too much hype around this book and film, its not worth it.
PS: If anonymous feels so strongly about an issue and wants you to blog about it, why remain anonymous though.

haha, Isn't that always been the case?

@Prasanna,
Sales of iPODs and Da vinci code are strictly not comparable. However, both these products have created a situation where a whole new industry has been created because of their success.
@WA,
The hype around the book just increased because of the movie release. all this will last only for the next few weeks.
@Raghav,
maybe yes :-) Thanks for dropping by.
