  • CHENNAI CITI CENTRE IS OKAY BUT ITS RETAIL STORE MIX IS BAD.ONLY LIFESTYLE AND LANDMARK HERE.THE REST OF THE SHOPS NOT EXCITING ANYONE.ITS ALREADY THERE ELSEWHERE IN CHENNAI.ITS PARKING MIGHT PROOVE INADEQATE EVENTUALLY WHEN THE CINEMAS GO OFF FULL SWING.ITS BEEN PLAGGED WITH DELAYS.POOR PLANNING AND TERRIBLE EXECUTION OF ESPECIALLY THE THIRD FLOOR.INOX WAS SUPPOSED TO OPEN MANY MONTHS BACK.ITS STILL NOT UP AND RUNNING.INOX WAS SUPPOSED TO LAUNCH 5 SCREENS WITH GOLD CLUB CLASS BUT NOW I THINK THEY WILL EVENTUALLY HAVE ONLY 4 SMALLER SCREENS.LOT OF BANGING AND BREAKING GOING ON AS MANY RESTAURANTS ARE NOWHERE NEAR COMPLETION STILL.ITS NOWHERE NEAR AS GOOD AS THE MALLS IN OTHER METROS LIKE FORUM OR GARUDA IN BANGALORE,INORBIT OR PHEONIX IN MUMBAI.ITS RETAIL IS VERY LIMITED,FOOD COURT IS OK AT BEST.KFC STILL NOT OPEN YET.AND THERE IS NO MCDONALDS HERE OR IN CHENNAI YET.HOW AWFUL FOR US ALL WHO LIVE IN CHENNAI.NO GOOD WORLD CLASS MALL WITH MULTIPLEX FUNCTIONING YET IN CHENNAI TODAY AND WE ARE ALMOST COMING TO THE END OF 2006.MOST OTHER METROS HAVE ATLEAST A 4-5 MALLS WITH MULTIPLEXS.WE NEED GOVERMENT IN TAMIL NADU TO LEND FULL SUPPORT AND CO-OPERATION TOWARDS THE RAPID DEVELOPMENT AND GROWTH OF ORGANISED RETAIL AND ENTERTAINMENT FOR ITS PEOPLE SO IT CAN COMPLIMENT THE RAPID IT AND HOUSING GROWTH.EASE VARIOUS NORMS AND CLEARANCES FOR CINEMA SCREENS SO MALLS CAN COME UP FAST AND WE CAN CATCH UP WITH OTHER METROS AND SOMEDAY LOOK TO BEAT THEM COMPLETELY.

  • Chennai Citi Centre Mall is being developed by the ETA Group. But the delays have been endless. The restaurants like KFC where supposed to open a couple of months back and the Inox Cinema was scheduled for August opening. Both these are delayed by probably anothet month mor or two.Dont these mall developers adhere to deadlines?!?....Chennaiates are desperate for a good new world-class multiplex to watch the latest regional and English cinema in a comfortable and modern ambience. Most people are quite bored with Sathyam Cinemas. They want atleast a couple of options now in the city.Mayajaal probably second to Sathyam, the only other option is too far from the city centre for most.Inox opening would be a great event in Chennai. It is sure to evoke tremendous intrest throughout the city.It would mark the begining of the mall multiplex generation in Chennai.Something that is well established in most other metros in India today.Chennai must have many more considering the size and position it holds in our country
